Tom Wolfenden

STRATEGY & OPERATIONS MANAGER, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Also known as Tom, Tom is the chief navigator of the Konstruct Ship. Overseeing strategy and operations, Tom's job is to ensure that Konstruct is sailing in the right direction.

Tom has some previous experience in this. Born in the UK, Tom and his family set sail on their waka (the good ship Kate Cooley) from England in 1991. For the next three and a half years, Tom and his family sailed half-way around the world to finally end up in Aotearoa.

Tom co-founded Konstruct while completing his undergraduate studies at Otago. He has a BA Hons in Spanish and Political Studies, and a Masters degree in International Studies.

Tom has 2 wonderful children (Aniwa and Akima) with his wife, and company Director, Arapera (see below).

Arapera

 Arapera Salter

 COMPANY DIRECTOR, DOCTOR

Or should we say Doctor Arapera Salter. When not attending board meetings, helping keep us in line in the factory and looking after her and Tom's beautiful children, you will find Pedz in the Paediatric ward of a hospital near you - as a  fully trained Paediatrician.

Pedz hails from Oamaru and is from a long line of extremely successful sporting stock, spanning generations.  A current member of the Northcote Netball Club, and a past representative member of countless rep Netball and Tennis  teams, Pedz is a fierce competitor - and take her on to a casual hit of tennis at your peril!

Nice to have both a pretend Doctor (Ria) and an actual Doctor in the team, and having a Paediatrician is especially handy with the number of children, and child-like adults running around the factory!

Soph and Tiger LillySophie Prinselaar-Smith

PRODUCTION MANAGER /  CUSTOMER SERVICE

Also known as Soph, Sophie Rose, Snowy - Sophie runs the production team here at Konstruct, though currently she is working in Customer Service while she is raising her beautiful newborn baby girl, Tiger Lily.

Hailing from Whangamata in the beautiful Coromandel, Soph now makes her home in West Auckland.  Sophie ensures everything goes smoothly during the production process and that all jobs go out on time.  She is the general Miss Fixit around the factory.

Soph finished her Bachelor of Visual Arts Degree (Majoring in Print Making) with top marks from Dunedin School of Art.  Any spare time is taken up with creating ceramics, painting, cooking, and general creating; you name it, she'll make it, and nail it.

Soph's dog Mila joins her at the factory each day, and Mila's best friend, Chris and Ria's dog Maeby, also hangs out at the factory.

Sophie's other passion is Skiing and she spent a year in Canada pursuing this passion. You will see her up the slopes at Whakapapa whenever she gets the chance.

Ben SargeantKate Brown

CUSTOMER SERVICE WARRIOR PRINCESS

Kate or Kei Te Pai, or Brownie (as no one calls her), is the friendly voice you will hear when you give us a buzz here at Konstruct HQ.

A fierce sense of humour and gifted with that sensational ability to brighten up the day of everyone around her, Kate is quite simply a great person to be around. Added to these qualities is her eye for detail, and ability to ensure deadlines are hit and our customers are kept up to date with their orders and quotes.

Invercargill is Kate's region of origin, going to James Hargest College uintil Year 10, then her and the fam moved up to Boomtown (Blenheim) and finished off her schooling at Marlbrough Girls.

Kate has a Diploma in Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Art History: Kate is well equipped to teach night Art Classes and also overly qualified to help you with any Printed Apparel or Promo Product enquiry.

In her spare time you may catch her and strumming her guitar playing in the band Secret Cousins.

 SireIsaiah Edwards

CHIEF PRINT OFFICER / SCREENPRINT KING

Better known as Sire - which is rather appropriate, as Sire is the King of Screenprint. With over 25 years in the industry and winning countless awards over this time. Sire is always pushing the boudaries keeping up to date with the latest  technology, new print methods and striving to constantly improve quality. Sire's passion for his craft is infectious (I think he actually has ink, rather than blood, running through his veins).

Auckland born and bred - Sire and his whanau make the North Shore their home. You may see him flash past you on his beautiful yellow sports bike on his way too and from Konstruct HQ in Henderson.

Sire lives with his wonderful wife Shelly and son Devontaye, with his daughter Mikayla having left the nest. You will find Sire on the sideline of Devontaye's Birkenhead Football team being his usual encouraging positive self. Nothing is ever a  problem with Sire, he'll always just work out how to tackle a problem and just gets on with it in his very humble way.

When he finds a spare moment his other passion is Golf, and with Devontaye starting to hit a good ball I would expect to see a lot more of Sire (and Devontaye) on golf courses around Auckland in the years ahead.
